The Burren
You can walk to the famous Burren from here and explore its limestone surface and extraordinary plant life. The Burren is also home to a number of major attractions such as Aillwee Caves (2km), the Burren Smokehouse and Poulnabrone Dolmen.
Sandy Beach
There is a wonderful safe sandy beach just 2km from Dolmen Lodge. The beach has a backdrop of the Burren Mountains and landscape and looks out on Galway Bay. The beach is perfect for a stroll and the clear waters are ideal for a swim.
Cliffs of Moher
Cliffs of Moher are one of the most popular and visited natural attractions in Ireland. Located on the famous Wild Atlantic Way coastal route, the amazing cliffs stretch for 8km! The scenic views are breathtaking and on a clear day you can see the Aran Island, Galway Bay and the Twelve Pins Mountains in Connemara.
Ballyvaughan Village
Ballyvaughan Village is a stunning harbour village with fine restaurants serving locally caught seafood and pubs that provide regular traditional music sessions. We are located just 1km from Ballyvaughan and within easy walking distance of all it has to offer.
Adventure Activities
We are the perfect location for outdoor adventure pursuits such as walking, cycling, golfing and angling to name a few. As are located on the Wild Atlantic Way, we are close to many beaches that offer great swimming, surfing, sailing and sea-angling.

"We just loved Dolmen Lodge, and enjoyed our friendly hosts. The grounds and house are just wonderful, and are quite distinctive. Honestly, we would visit Dolmen again in a heartbeat. The wonderful breakfasts are done by Mary, and you may hear Phillip singing or playing music in the adjacent living room. He can tell you about their garden, too. Dolmen Lodge is a charming, peaceful place. Maybe even scenic is the right word. "This place was so incredible and beautiful. The drive up to the B&B was scenic and lovely. I loved the cows they had in the field next to the house. My Husband Andrey loved this place the most.
